RANDY
DEAVER
Bio >> Crossfire
Born on December 5 in a small Central
California community, Randy was the youngest of four children.
His parents were Christian people and Randy grew up singing in
church. In school he sang in the junior high and high school choir
and the honor choir. After completing Reedley and Napa colleges
with a degree in Administration of Justice, he went to work for
the city of Sanger in the engineering/planning department. Some
years later he became a Fish and Game Warden for the State of
California and eventually moved on to become a community development
director. His family still calls the San Joaquin Valley home.
Like many great performers, music
was to be his destiny and he started to sing professionally
about 14 years ago. He and Crossfire have been performing together
since 1990. Even though Randy has been writing songs and singing
for most of his life, it wasn’t until 10 years ago that
he started playing the guitar. “I was tired of having
to rely on an accompanist”, he said. Today he plays a
limited edition 25th anniversary Taylor guitar.
Randy’s first CD, SENSES,
was recorded in 2001.
